Since I posted about my departure, I figured I should probably post about my return and provide an update. Your Friendly Neighborhood Blogger is now a dad—and just in time for yesterday’s Father’s Day!
While I initially pushed for “Scott Thomas” as his first and middle names so he’d have the initials STC, that was vetoed by Mrs. Friendly Neighborhood Blogger. Instead, we went with Conor Walter. He was born at 1:07 AM on Wednesday, 6 June, checking in at 22 inches long and weighing 7 pounds, 13 ounces. Both mom and baby are doing fine, though sleep continues to be somewhat scarce.
I’m back in the office, but will be easing back into things over the next week or two as the adjustment continues. Thanks to all who commented or emailed after the last blog post, and thanks as well to everyone for their understanding as things got a little slow here for a while.
